Voltea is proud to announce the appointment of Johannes Landgraf as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). With decades of global experience in innovation strategy, IP development, and sustainable technologies, Johannes brings a powerful combination of scientific rigor and entrepreneurial leadership to Voltea’s mission of delivering clean, energy-efficient water purification solutions.
Johannes is the founder of Lingroup GmbH, a renowned innovation consultancy based in Karlsruhe, Germany, and the originator of the Lingroup Innovation Method. He has led more than 1,000 innovation workshops with industrial partners across sectors, authored or co-authored over 500 patents, and developed a systematic IP valuation method used to assess more than 2,000 patents to date.
Throughout his career, Johannes has revitalized technical portfolios for major organizations and driven product development at the intersection of sustainability, energy efficiency, water purification, and medical technology. His work is grounded in deep scientific training, including a diploma in Technical Physics from the Technical University of Munich and a doctorate in Human Biology from LMU Munich.

As CTO, Johannes will guide the evolution of Voltea’s CapDI (Capacitive Deionization) technology and lead the development of next-generation solutions that serve both people and planet. His leadership further strengthens Voltea’s commitment to science-driven sustainability and IP excellence.
